For the first post, I'd like you to comment on how you feel about commenting on this blog. Is this something you do already? Does it make you nervous? How does it compare to Facebook or other social media?
I think it's cool how we can do this. It's all high tech and awesome. I have never done this before though so its obviously something new to me. I think it is like facebook and what Mrs. Jones-Webb writes is like a status and we comment on there. Although I feel like since it's so much like facebook I don't have to worry about spelling and punctuation but since it has to do with school and our class I feel like we're obligated to write "properly." :(
I agree!! I hate how it doesn't put in the ' for us... we actually have to learn how to type right?!? At least it underlines the words that are spelled wrong for us! :)
yep it aint tooo bad its a alot better than paper. n i can be open and honest and say what i want on here. facebook is drama and junk and only people that live their life in drama are addicted to drama.
i dont really like to do this but if i have to i will. no it does not make me nervous its just ehh not my thing. but i will say it is an easy way to do this.
I don't mind doing a blog on line because it is only going to be our class reading it anyways. Never have I had a blog although I know people that do. Blogging doesn't make me nervous because no one will look up a contemporary lit blog i don't think anyways. It is similar, on there are no friends, and only the people involved in the blog know what you are talking about. Its similar because it is on the internet and you are posting what you feel and others are looking at it. :)
so then does it make you nervous that 3rd hour can and probably read what write? if you go to JW's page you can go to 3rd hour and snoop and vise versa.
I don't think I'm too fond of this method of classwork. Technology is starting to be way too dependable! What happens when it crashes? Plus, I tend to not have the best grammar in the world when I type on facebook and stuff. I don't get nervous or anything because I used to put chapters of books I write up on Gaia Online for people to read and give me comments. So, I've never really done a legit blog but I'm used to the whole set up.
Yeah, I originally wanted to go to school to be an English major and become an author. I planned to have my first book finished and hopefully even published before I graduate.
I have never blogged before. This blog seems like a class discussion. Everyone contributes and comments on what other people say. This blog makes me nervous because I am not used to it. It is kind of out of my comfort zone. I think it is a cool way to communicate though! The comment box is the same as the status box or comment box on Facebook. I wish blogs had "like" buttons!! Blogs remind me of Twitter because people talk about their lives and people comment on what they say. Instead of talking about our lives, we are talking about the book. I am excited to read about what everyone else has to say!!
I think its a great! i like how i can see what other people's ideas are. I have done a blog before in a class but what we bloged never had anything to do with what we were doing. I agree with jaclyn and how this is sorta like facebook. Im not sure everyone will like it but it is a great way of learning somthing new.! i does make me nervous.. im not a very good speller! :)
I don't have anything to do with the robot lol. I'm glad some of you seem to be liking the blog. This does not mean we'll forget about class discussions, don't worry, Joe!
