Thus far I do not like Campbell. He is very cocky and not very nice. I think the story behind the dog is exactly what they said in the book. He has a iron lung and he can't get too close to magnets. The dog is there to keep him away from them incase he doesn't happen to see one. I doubt that he really likes having to have a dog with him every where because I'd imagine he gets in the way at times.
Cocky?? nooo he just knows exactly what he is doing. Not nice? nice is going make the money he does. he does his job and doesnt side track off into anything else, his job doesnt require him to make friends with clients. and to be honest didnt even see that part about the magnet stuff. oops ma bad. stuff happens
I thought the opposite, I think that he is very caring about Anna or else he would have sent her to the juvinille court system. And i kind of think that he has grown to like the dog!! : )
i disagree with you Jaclyn. i think that campbell is a nice man just trying to do his job the right way. It may have came across that he wasnt very nice because its not every day that a 13 year old comes in for his help.
I still think he's cocky because at first he wouldn't even give her time to explain herself he was quick to just send her out of the room. he just came off as rude to me personally.
Campbell is doing his job...thats all i think about him. The story behind his dog is....that he obviously is required to get a dog because A. his impair in some way. or blind. B. That he finds it a funny joke to have one. haha. The dependence it seems he doesnt mind...but if he doesnt....what choice does he have??.....and boom goes the dynamite!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree he is doing his job. He doesnt have the dog becuase he thinks its funny no one in thier right mind would do that. Also what is up with the dynamite?
I think Camoell is a very caring lawyer or he wouldnt be doing this for Anna for poractically free. I think his dog has helped him through some rough times of his own and is very important to Campell. I dont think that he likes to be dependent on the dog, however he appreciates the help that the dog provides him with . I think that Anna is very lucky that she found him as a lawyer becauswe he takes her seriously now and is very generous with his services.
I think Campbell really wants to help Anna. Sometimes people think that he is just doing it for the money but i dont.He seems really nice and easy going, but yet i think he is very serious about his job. I think the story behind the dog is he once was hurt and now he has to have a service dog to make sure nothing bad happens again.I dont think he is dependent on the dog. I think he wants to do things on is own but he cant because he knows this is better for him and for him to be safe.
I think Campbell is not the person Anna should have gone to for help. He seems to be more interested in the publicity rather than helping Anna. He wants to do it free because the publicity would outweigh the costs of being her lawyer. As for the dog, I do not think that he is happy about having the dog, yet he wants him around to protect from magnets.
I agree that he just wants publicity, but he seems like he can win her case and that's why Anna went to him. Anna didn't go to him for moral support. I feel like the dog is his companion. He is busy with work and doesn't seem like he would have many friends.
Nathan and Nicole, I thought that too...that maybe he's only in it for the publicity. I wonder if he's going to learn something through all of this as well.
I feel like he is well qualified. I think Anna chose the perfect lawyer to win her case. It seems like he is being nice, but i wonder what his objective really is?
I feel like Campbell is quick to judge, like in Anna's case. He first thought Anna came to him because of an issue that Planned Parenthood could resolve. I think he only took Anna's case because he knew it would be an easy win. He knew that it would be an open and shut case. He wouldn't have much work involved. He also said this case would generate publicity for him. I feel the dog is his companion. He is lonely and the dog gives him company. I don't think the dependence on the dog bothers him. The dog is like a friend.
this is to the first sentence.....umm ya because its not everyday a little girl comes in saying i want to sew my parents for my body.....come on give the man some credit....he is crippled
Nicole, this response is well thought out. Also you realized this is an English class and used correct spelling, etc. Your classmates to learn from this!

DeleteI dont believe that he is cocky but he is just a good attorney. I think he just has the dog for a friend and likes to have him around.
DeleteI'm going to have to agree with Chris on this one. I don't think that he was looking at the actual case, but rather the publicity he is going to get.
DeleteI AGREE WITH COLTON OFFIELD SON
