After our first reading, what are your initial thoughts about the book, Idgie, Mrs. Cleo Threadgoode, and Mrs. Couch? You must write at least five well thought out sentences. Remember: English class! Must be grammatically sound!
I was a little confused with the first part of the book. I know it was talking about a meteorite. I think it confuses me because it switches back and forth, with the newspaper and the story. A lot of people were fighting. The meteorite was placed in the café.
I think that the book is really good. I couldn't put the book down. Idgie is my favorite character. She is just like me, she's honest about everything just like me. I like how they have the The Weems Weekly its interesting what they say in some of the weekly's.
It really didn't make much sense to me. In the newspaper part it kept talking about a meteorite. Everybody was fighting about who owned the meteorite but it just ended up being displayed in the café. When the book switches between the newspaper and the story kind of throws everything off. The switching back and forth makes the book confusing.
I think that the book is a little confusing. Mostly because that some of it is around 1929 and the rest is around 1985. I don't really get the meaning of the book yet. Idgie seems like a nice and friendly person who is really honest.
I thoughts after reading those pages were that this book will be interesting. Idgie is a little girl that will have a life of hardships. Idgie was always trying to make a person smile. Mrs. Cleo Threadgoode is a women that does not mind speaking her mind about anything. She has just realized that she is a older women and not in her twenties anymore.
so far Idgie is a little girl who has a life full of unfortunate events. A woman came to visit her mother in law with her husband and when she snuck off to eat a candy bar she ran into an old woman who started telling her a story. the story consists of tales from her life thus far. she proceeded to talk about a little girl who doesn't follow any rules. the old woman is spunky and carefree. the woman with the candy bar is a quiet gentle woman.
I think that the book is good so far. I think the ladies are funny how they just say what's on their mind. I'm hoping that something really good happens as we get farther into the book. Idgie is my favorite because she just say things that are on her mind. The Weems Weekly was a good way to get information because they listed the café and listed the prices of the items.
I thought the book so far is OK. I also thought it would be so nice to have a store that sells food for a really low price. I would like to eat at a restaurant like that.If we had a store like that i bet people would eat there all the time. I know i would eat at the restaurant all the time.
Mrs. Cleo Threadgoode is an old lady and is very sassy. She isn't afraid to say what is on her mind even when at times she shouldn't say anything. I think this is a good book and I will enjoy it. she will be my favorite character through this entire book. I what to know what the meteorite has to do with
I think this book is going to be different. Mrs Threadgoode likes to talk a lot, that could make the book be different in some ways. She likes to tell her stories in a lot of detail which can annoy people. Mrs Couch doesn't like to listen to Mrs Threadgoode talk because she gets annoyed. Mrs Couch will try to find something else to do other than listen to Mrs Threadgoode talk, and will find any way to get away from listening to her.
Mrs. Cleo Threadgoode is a very open women. She likes to go into detail in all of her stories. She has a remarkable memory for someone that people may consider off her rocker. When you talk to Cleo you listen more than you talk. I think if Evelyn left Cleo would just keep talking.
so far I think this book is decent. it is a little bit confusing. I don't understand the meteorite part. I don't understand why it has to be in the café. hopefully you enjoyed my blog.
